Planning for development, Leveraging Data for Many Possibilities
The Kaduna Bureau of Statistics conducted the 2020 Kaduna General House Hold Survey (KDGHS 2020) which included a large MNCH component at the request of the health sector. This builds on the technical skills acquired from the health facility census in 2018.
The KDGHS 2020 sample was selected using a stratified two-stage cluster design consisting of 690 clusters with a fixed take of 30 clusters per LGA. The sample for the KDGHS 2020 was representative at state level and senatorial zone for all indicators. Most importantly, it is the first survey to provide point estimates at LGA level and senatorial zone levels for most demographic and health indicators in the state. It covered the entire population residing in non-institutional dwelling units of Kaduna State.
